Camp Little Light of Mine The loss of a friend or family member is often difficult for adults to deal with. Imagine what it's like for a child. Hospice of the Valley understands. That's why we created this camp to help children come to terms with their loss and find positive ways to channel their feelings so the healing process can begin. Who should attend camp?

What Campers Learn:
|
Who conducts Camp? Camp Little Light of Mine was created by bereavement professionals to address the special needs of children. The Camp Director and instructors are trained in their areas and have experience working with children and adults. Who supervises my child? In addition to the trained camp staff, each child is paired with an adult buddy who is trained by Hospice of the Valley in dealing with the needs of grieving children. All buddies are screened by Hospice of the Valley. Many of them are teachers or other professionals who are accustomed to working with chilldren.
